Health History

Travis has dealt with several health issues throughout his life, several of which nearly killed him, including meningitis at 3 years old.

Chronic black-out seizures that led to the discovery of an Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM) in the brain. This condition was treated with a form of laser surgery that involved radiation exposure. Several months later, the swelling of Travis’s brain caused by the radiation exposure put Travis in the hospital, where he was given steroids to bring the swelling down and spent a few days in the hospital. Due to the swelling Travis had to remain on steroids for nearly a year which led to several other health problems including severe weight gain / inflammation, lack of energy, severe brain fog, and anger issues.

Being on steroids for this long also caused Travis to developed Avascular Necrosis (AVN), a disease that results from temporary or permanent loss of blood supply to bones, and Travis has had a partial shoulder replacement due to this and continues to monitor other joints due to having AVN in several of them.

In 2021, Travis was dealing with several stomach inflammations, and pain. He went to the hospital and was diagnosed with having severe Pancreatitis. Pancreatitis caused severe issues with the body’s organs including these organs shutting down. For Travis’s best interest he was placed in a medically induced coma for two weeks to give his body the opportunity to heal due to the possibility that with everything shutting down, it could lead to death. It was after the coma, and during physical therapy that the AVN was discovered a few months later, leading to the surgery for a partial replacement shoulder, and around a year’s worth of physical therapy altogether.

In early 2023 Travis had a severe seizure at work, and thankfully was with one of the Doctor’s he works with when this seizure happened. Due to some fluid getting into the lungs as a result of the seizure, Travis did spend a few days in the hospital, but recovered quickly.

Other health issues include the normal flu, broken bones, etc.
